These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the How7o website (“the site”, “we”, “us”), located at how7o.com. By using the site you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Use of the site
How7o provides free online tools, prank screens, and tutorials for personal and professional use. You may use the site for any lawful purpose, subject to these Terms.
You agree not to:
- Use the site or any of its tools to harass, defraud, threaten, defame, or harm another person
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site, our servers, or any account
- Interfere with site availability through automated requests, scraping, or denial-of-service activity
- Use the site in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law
- Reproduce, redistribute, or sell tutorial content without our written permission
2. Intellectual property
All site content — including the design, code, written tutorials, illustrations, and tool implementations — is owned by the site operator or licensed for use here. You may view and use the site for personal and professional reference. You may quote short excerpts of tutorials with attribution and a link back to the original page.
You may not copy, republish, mirror, scrape, or use site content to train a machine-learning model without prior written permission. Linking to specific pages from your own site or social media is always welcome.
3. Your input is yours
Whatever you paste, type, or upload into a tool on How7o stays on your device. The tools run in your browser; the data never reaches our servers. You retain all rights to the content you process. We do not see it, store it, claim license to it, or use it for any purpose.
4. Prank screens — use responsibly
The prank screens on How7o (fake Blue Screens of Death, fake update screens, Hacker Typer, the Windows XP simulator, etc.) are presented for harmless entertainment. By using them you agree:
- Not to use them to extort, blackmail, intimidate, or commit fraud
- Not to display them on systems you are not authorized to use
- Not to use them in any context that could be reasonably mistaken for an actual security event, malware infection, or law-enforcement notice
You are solely responsible for how, when, and on whom you display these screens. How7o accepts no responsibility for damages caused by misuse.
5. Tutorials — accuracy and risk
Tutorials on How7o cover web development, server configuration, command-line work, and similar topics. We make a reasonable effort to ensure they are accurate at time of writing, but technology changes and your environment may differ from ours.
Before running any command, script, or configuration change from a tutorial on a production system, you should understand what it does and have a working backup. We are not responsible for data loss, downtime, or other damage caused by following a tutorial.
6. Advertising
How7o is funded by display advertising served by third parties (primarily Google AdSense). We do not endorse, vet, or verify the advertisers whose ads appear on the site. Any transaction or interaction you have with an advertiser is solely between you and that advertiser. See our Privacy Policy for details on how ad tracking works.
7. Third-party links
Tutorials and tool pages may link to external websites. We provide these links for convenience and do not endorse the linked sites, control their content, or take responsibility for their privacy or security practices. Visiting external sites is at your own risk.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The site and everything on it is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from harmful components, nor that any tool will produce results that meet your requirements.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, How7o, its operator, and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your use of the site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless How7o and its operator from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party’s rights.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. Updates take effect when posted on this page; we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Significant changes will be flagged in a banner on the site for at least 14 days.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the site (including by IP block) if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are causing harm to the site or other users.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the site shall be resolved in the courts of the United States.
